Reminders for the refill your customer is about to need
Many stores sell a product once and its refills again and again: a water pitcher and its filters, an air purifier and its HEPA filter, a coffee machine and its descaler. Customers forget when to replace them, or buy them elsewhere. Refillo is an app for Shopify stores that sends each customer one reminder, from the store, about a week before their part runs out, and at most one follow-up.
Coming soon to the Shopify App Store. Refillo is in development. Questions are welcome at support@getrefillo.com.
How it works
- The store connects its catalog. Refillo suggests which part fits which product, and how often it is replaced, from the store's own orders and product pages. The store owner checks each match; nothing is sent until they confirm it.
- Refillo works out when each customer is due. It counts from the customer's last purchase of the part, and takes into account how many they bought: a 3-pack of filters lasts three times as long as one.
- The customer gets one email, from the store. It lists every part due for the products they own, with one button that opens the store's cart with those parts in it. Buying the part, here or earlier, resets the clock.
Careful by design
- Only customers who agreed to receive marketing email from the store are emailed. The store's customer records in Shopify decide this, and we check again right before every email.
- At most one email a week to any customer, and at most two reminders for any one part.
- Every email lets the customer snooze it, say they already bought the part, stop reminders for a product, or unsubscribe in one click.
- A discount, if the store offers one, goes only to customers who are late, as a code that works once.
